It's the base ingredient for a hydrating, nourishing mask that will leave your skin supple and baby-soft. You'll need:- unrefined shea butter - aloe vera gel - sweet almond oil Slowly warm up the shea butter in a pan and, once melted, stir in equal measures of sweet almond oil and aloe vera gel. Mix until you get a thick balm, apply to your face, leave for 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse it off. Perfect for dry and/or sensitive skin!

And whip up a body butter to soothe your dry, rough skin You'll need:- shea butter - sweet almond oil - a few drops of grapefruit seed extract to act as a preservative - an essential oil for a lovely scent (your choice!)Melt the shea butter in a bain marie and add the other ingredients. Leave it to harden in the fridge. Take it out and give it a quick whip to get a creamy texture. This rich, fondant butter will moisturise and nourish your skin - it works particularly well after hair removal or if you've been out in the sun.

Its regenerating properties restore elasticity so that we can crack a smile without cracking our skin! For an exfoliating homemade treatment you'll need:- a teaspoon of shea butter - a teaspoon of sugar - a few drops of sweet almond oil Mix up the ingredients until you get a smooth paste. Apply it to your lips and gently scrub using circular movements. Rinse it off with lukewarm water. It'll remove any flaky, dead skin (your lip stick will look fabulous), whilst healing and nourishing your pout. Finish off with a light coat of pure shea butter for luscious lips!
