Spring cleaning starts now ! How to get fresh, clean skin

Spring Cleaning Starts Now! How To Get Fresh, Clean Skin As you leave your winter stupor behind and before summer arrives, you need to revitalise your bodies and your skin. So say goodbye to grey, sallow complexions, and scaly skin. It's a new season and your beauty regime needs an update.

1. Eliminate toxins gently

Overloaded with rich, nourishing creams throughout the winter, and damaged by the cold weather, your skin is full of toxins. These toxins suffocate and wear down the skin, stopping cell renewal, and making the skin look grey. As soon as winter ends, you need to eliminate toxins on a daily basis, a total detox! Start by deep cleansing the skin with micellar water, perfect for sensitive skins, or a cleansing oil for the most stubborn make-up. Then steam your face - lean over a saucepan of boiling water with a towel covering your head to open the pores and soften the skin. With toxins eliminated, your skin can breathe once more.

2. Get rid of impurities

Once toxins have been eliminated, the impurities from daily life remain on your skin. Pollution, tobacco, debris, excess sebum, and dead skin cells. In the long term, the skin suffocates and reacts by producing spots, blackheads, and a greyish complexion. Use a gentle scrub, avoiding the eye area, to stimulate microcirculation and leave your skin glowing and radiant. You can also use a deep cleansing clay mask like the L’Oréal Paris Pure Clay Anti-Blemish Mask to unclog pores, remove impurities, and reveal clear and flawless skin.

3. Lymphatic drainage massage

This flushes away toxins and strengthens the immune system. Using the tips of the index finger and middle finger, gently massage each side of the neck, behind the ears and around the eyes, between the eyebrows and over the temples. This lymphatic draining rejuvenates the skin tissues and visibly improves the appearance of the skin.

4. Rehydrate

Remember to rehydrate. During the spring, skin becomes tight and cracks easily. Choose a hydrating product formulated for your skin type to nourish and leave your complexion soft and supple. If your skin is more on the oily side, use a clay mask, followed by a mattifying cream. And there you are, all ready for the summer!
