Homemade Tips to Get Rid of Dry Skin

Rich in omega-6, vitamin E, and antioxidants, argan oil is an ideal skin softener and moisturiser. You'll need:
• 2 tbsp of argan oil
• 2 tbsp of coarse sea salt
• 1g cinnamon powder
• 1g dried, grated orange peel

Mix the ingredients in a large bowl and apply in the shower using circular movements. Pay extra attention to particularly dry areas.

Geranium essential oil is great for soothing and nourishing dry, irritated skin. You'll need:
• 3 tbsp of sweet almond oil
• 1 tsp of beeswax
• 2 tbsp of boiling mineral water
• 10 drops of rose geranium essential oil

Using a bain-marie, melt the beeswax and sweet almond oil, and leave to cool for a few minutes. Once the mixture has thickened, add the freshly boiled water and mix until frothy. Added the rose geranium essential oil and stir until it cools. Let the mixture harden for at least an hour to get a creamy texture.

Shea butter works wonders on dry skin. It nourishes and moisturises skin without clogging the pores. You'll need:
• 150ml shea butter
• 100ml coconut oil
• 2 tsp jojoba oil

Melt the shea butter and coconut oil in a bain-marie. Once it liquidises, add the jojoba oil and leave to cool for an hour. Using an electric mixer, whip it up until you have a creamy texture, and, voila, you have a ready-to-use moisturiser.
