THIRD EDITION OF LIGHTS ON WOMEN AWARD, L’ORÉAL PARIS INITIATIVE FOR RISING FEMALE SHORT FILM DIRECTORS
The L'Oréal Paris’ Lights on Women Award was launched in 2022 to recognize and promote the talents of women short film directors, who hold only 17% of top-grossing film directorial positions and 25% of key behind-the-scenes roles. The winning short film, chosen from the Short Films Competition and la Cinef's selection at Cannes, receives a financial support and industry recognition. Kate Winslet, L’Oréal Paris ambassador and Lights on women juror, will announce the grand prize winner's name at the Jeune Cinema dinner on May 26, 2023.
