Time to take the thermal-water plunge

Time to take the thermal-water plunge

"Thermal water: This comes from naturally warm groundwater that's packed with minerals and trace elements accumulated as it washes around rocks. Each water has its own composition, but all complement the skin's physiological balance, which makes them perfect for sensitive skin. Thermal water hydrates the surface of the skin, heals and soothes. It should be applied to the skin after cleansing in generous quantities to prevent dehydrating as the water evaporates.

Floral water: Floral water is obtained by the steam distillation of entire flower heads. Rich in plant active ingredients, it purifies, clarifies, regenerates, tightens pores. Each flower is suited to a skin type or need: lavender cleanses, chamomile soothes, blueberries relieve congestion and orange blossom softens. Their concentration of active molecules is lower than that of essential oils, so they can be used by everyone. Apply with a moist cotton pad, morning and night, after cleansing.

Micellar water: This is composed of water that contains micelles. These are tiny particles that trap impurities and mix them in with the water so they can be removed. Its star characteristic? Combining the freshness of water with the effectiveness of a cleansing oil. Popular with those who have sensitive skin or find water alone too harsh, micellar water is applied with a cotton pad to remove make-up and impurities accumulated during the day.

Cleansing water: This is water enriched with natural essences that is applied to the body, instead of or in addition to a lotion. It softens, hydrates, tones and perfumes the skin while reinforcing its hydrolipidic film. It should be sprayed on after your shower/bath and is particularly soothing during hot summer weather. The plus: unlike some lotions, cleansing water doesn't make you feel all sticky!"
