The benefits of tomatoe, a flawless skin fruit and here

The benefits of tomatoe, a flawless skin fruit and here's the proof!

Does your skin feel tight, itchy and get blotchy at the slightest change in temperature? If so, your skin's dehydrated. It needs moisturising to feel soothed and regain its healthy glow. You could reach for a day/night cream packed with hyaluronic acid or aloe vera. Or you could whip up a tomato-based face mask. Although slightly acidic, tomatoes are bursting with water (almost 95%) and mineral salts, both of which deeply hydrate skin. To make a mask, mix the pulp from a tomato with two teaspoons of honey, apply a thick layer to your face and leave for 15 minutes. Rinse of with water. The tomato's moisturising properties will soothe your epidermis and give you a radiant complexion!

Is your skin becoming thin, saggy and wrinkled, with liver spots cropping up all over the place? Time for an anti-ageing plan of attack! Tomatoes are antioxidant-rich, meaning they protect our skin from UV rays and slow down signs of ageing. They also contain vitamins A, B and C, alongside sodium, potassium and magnesium, making them a powerful weapon against ageing skin. To make an anti-ageing tomato mask, mix a glass of tomato pulp with a tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the juice from half and lemon and blend until you get a smooth paste. Apply a thick layer to your face (avoiding your eyes) and leave for 15 minutes. Rinse off with water. It will soothe, freshen and plump up your skin.

Is your skin tone uneven or shiny, your pores dilated with spotty outbreaks or blackheads? In other words, are your blemishes driving you up the wall? Cleansing your skin morning and night is the first line of defence. This will get rid of dead cells that suffocate skin, unclog pores and purify the T-zone. Follow this with a tomato-based mask for its blemish-busting acid content. To make a purifying tomato mask, mash up the pulp from a tomato and avocado

The latter will prevent any stinging caused by the tomato's acid. Apply the paste to your face, leave for twenty minutes and rinse off with warm water. Your skin will be left squeaky clean, toned and visibly glowing! Test your face mask by applying a small amount to the inside of your wrist. The acid found in tomatoes can sting if your skin's highly reactive or sensitive.
