How To Get Summer Soft Skin
When summer arrives, it is important to protect yourself from the sun’s harmful ultraviolet radiation. The sun provides essential doses of vitamin D, but it can be dangerous if your skin is exposed for too long. UV rays can cause sunburn and they also accelerate the effects of the ageing process, causing wrinkles and brown spots to appear. Here are a few simple tips to follow during the summer to keep your skin protected during summer.
1. Use Sunscreen
Remember to use a sunscreen with a good SPF rating every day. You should use a sunscreen even when you are indoors. Do not forget to reapply your sunscreen every 2-3 hours throughout the day if you are staying outside.
Exfoliation is your best friend for summer-soft skin. For your body, choose a fine grain scrub and pay particular attention to areas where the skin is the thickest (knees, elbows, and feet). For your face, go for a gentle scrub to avoid damaging the skin. Try the L’Oréal Paris White Perfect Anti-Dullness Scrub and massage gently using circular movements. The scrub cleans your skin thoroughly and removes all impurities, even makeup. The unique exfoliating beads in the White Perfect Anti-Dullness scrub remove dead skin cells to reveal a bright and radiant complexion. A word of advice: never exfoliate sunburnt skin!
It is important to cleanse your skin twice a day with a cleanser that is suitable for your skin type. In the morning, use a gentle skincare product such as micellar water to remove the excess sebum that builds up overnight. In the evening, remove make-up and cleanse with an oil to remove all the impurities (including sunscreen) from your skin and then wash your face with a cleanser to make sure your skin is squeaky clean and no leftover impurities are clogging your pores overnight.
4. Hydrate Your Skin
To keep your skin soft, you have to hydrate it. In the morning, use a rich, hydrating face cream. Choose the product according to your needs: anti-ageing, energising, mattifying, anti-wrinkle, etc. But always opt for a light texture, especially if your skin is oily and the weather is humid. In the evening, avoid using serums or masks every day to give your skin a break and allow it to breathe.
The harsh summer sun can dry out your skin or the humidity can make your oily skin even worse. Using the right kind of products specially formulated for your skin type can help you protect the health of your skin and keep it looking young and feeling soft throughout summer.
