Allergies how to soothe your skin when spring arrives

Spring is not just about sunshine, picnics, and flowers. With the return of fine weather, trees, and flowers burst into bloom and pollen fills the air. Spring is unfortunately also synonymous with allergic rhinitis, asthma, and itchy skin. If you have sensitive skin that easily gets red and irritated, spring time can often make it worse.

1. Skin more sensitive during spring

Simply put, it means your skin is reacting to something it can't tolerate. And pollen is a well-known culprit. When a pollen allergy occurs, the immune system sends defensive agents to the skin's surface. The skin becomes hypersensitive, and itchy patches of eczema can appear. It's an inflammatory reaction, caused by histamine, a natural substance released by the body during times of stress and allergy.

2. Soothe your skin with the right skincare products

Using your fingertips, apply a gentle cleansing oil to your face. It will hydrate the skin and restore its lipid barrier. Then generously mist your face with a thermal or floral water. 3. Use medicines if your allergies get worse

Antihistamines are an effective way to soothe allergic skin. They reduce the body's reaction to pollen. As a result, rashes disappear and the skin is less itchy and inflamed.
